Lover's Suicide

by Susan   Aug 3, 2006

She let go of his hand,
And walked away
But she still loves him
To this very day

He didn't chase after her
Or even ask for her back
But he did love her
That was a fact

They both knew it wouldn't work
So i guess they didn't try
They just let go of each other
With so much as a goodbye

She wanted to call him
You know, just tell him how she feels
But she told herself that she'd get over him
And that it would just take some time to heal

He would always call her
Just to hang up when she said hello
He just had to hear that voice
Its what brought him back up when he got low

And one day she just couldn't take it
And she had to end her life
She couldn't stand to live
Without him by her side

So she grabbed the sharpest knife
Out of the top of her mothers drawer
Slicing it into her skin,
She began to feel sore

He was flipping to the TV
Thats were he saw it, on the news
He couldn't hear his own screaming
On him, this had left a bruise

So on this very same night,
He too had took his life
He did it the same way she did
He used his mother's knife

She thought he couldn't see
He thought she didn't care
What's sad is they both didn't realize,
the other was always there
