A Dancer

by Rena   Aug 3, 2006

***Another One With English Outline***

did you ever see a dancer?
long bodied, perfectly-groomed, lights-above, smile-upon

her perfect split;
the straightness of a pencil

jazz, smile, music, jump
point, kick, turn, clap
sequin, attitude, land, thump
exit, run, change, tap

choreograph
the number
teach the dancers
one, two, three, for
perfect it to the max
never waste a minute
practice each day
your perfect
dance

dance with all your heart
dance like one one is watching
believe in yourself.

I always love reading your poetry Rena. Especially ones like this. Very moving like so many of your other writes. Never stop writing.
