Tumbleweed Dreams

by Carlee Ann   Aug 3, 2006

Staring at the prairie tonight,
A brown ocean rolling
The tumbleweeds go on by
Just like my dreams

They do not have anywhere to go
Just spinning down the railroad tracks
Mindlessly, with no place to go
Just the endless prairie enclosing

And the dreams go with the weeds
Letting the winds consume them
Deeply, irrevocably intoxicated
And when do they fade away?

Beautifully done....our dreams do ride the wind and blow on by....disappearing with the light of day, like tumbleweeds blown out of sight. I love this poem.
