Do You Know Sam?
the boy that no one ever really notices
standing there so quiet and alone
Do you know Sam?

He sits back in that corner over there
with his face inside a book
He never makes a sound, even if people would hear
Do You Know Sam?

Sam a silent strange guy
big blue glasses hide his green eyes
with Stephen King as his only friend
alone in this world, will his pain ever end

Do You Know Sam?
Hes been here all along
since the beginning of kindergarten
to the end of senior year

Same blue glasses, same black hair
living life behind his book
hiding himself from invisibility
this empty page is his reality

Did You Know Sam?
I wish I did
Maybe I could have saved him
Maybe he'd still be here
sitting in the back corner
with his face inside a book
Did You Know Sam?

Maybe one day we'll learn our lesson
maybe next time we'll notice the nerdy kid
maybe just maybe will look past the labels and differences..
and be able to say..
We Knew Sam.
