Salvation calls

by herewithme   Aug 4, 2006

Salvation calls sweetly
my name, so true
i follow the sound meekly
hoping it will lead to you

salvation looks me in the eye
and sees into my soul
wipes a tear as i start to cry
and tells me im not alone

salvation holds me in his arms
and tells me to be strong
his shield around me blocks the harm
and i can do no wrong

salvation hides me from the world
as night takes over day
and gives to me a perfect pearl
and says "it will never lead you astray"

salvation rests me down to sleep
closes my heavy eyes
pray my soul in which to keep
and rids himself of all disguise

for he is my salvation
and he will guard my soul
he will lead me from my expectations
and place me into my role.
