A Little Something

by Steven Odenbreit   Aug 5, 2006

There's a little something I want to say to you,
There's no limit to the things that I'd do,
To keep you here at my side,
Until the day I can call you my bride.

I'll get what you need when you feel sick,
Hope you'll forgive me if i act like a prick,
Be there for you night and day,
Make you happy when you wanna play,
I'll skip the bull,
Give you nothing but the truth,
because no matter what,
I'd want the same from you,
I'll hold you close,
Keep you close as can be,
But I'll never keep you from being free.

There's too many things to make a list,
I'd probably just end up straining my wrist,
there isn't enough paper in the whole wise world,
to write down all the things that I'd do for you girl.

So I'll just tell you this instead,
The real reason I wrote this poem,
Is to let you know that even after I'm dead,
Your heart is where I want to call home.

**Dedicated to my one true love, Kimmy8851**
