Uncaged

by Lushed   Aug 5, 2006

Drip, Drip,
The liquid sky slips,
Falls from the moon,
Caught by fingertips.

Inspired,
The wind fires,
The white canvas blooms.

It's blinding,
I'm finding,
It's murderous space.
My entire soul,
It wants to encase.

Upon it,
I've drawn it,
My heart.
All its grace.

Veins cross,
My ventricles frost,
Blood painted with care.
Bleeding with ease.
The pumping will not cease.

Thump, Thump,
Feel the surface,
Every bump.

Completed,
Time fleeted.
Nailed up on the wall.
A canvas alive,
Watch the blood thrive.

I try not to scream,
Close my eyes,
Slip into a dream.
When i see the feverish crawl,
Sneaking silently,
Across the wall.

An eight legged monster.
Fights it's way onto my heart.
No ribs protect,
My treasured piece of art.
