Stop This War.

by Gordon Whittaker   Aug 6, 2006

We sometimes forget the tragedies of the world.
As we sit on our cosy divan with a drink in our hand,
listening to the hi-fi or watching TV.
The war in Iraq is a million miles away,
itâ??s not affecting you and me, itâ??s the Iraqis misery.

Yes misery, brought about by a war denounced
by the majority of the western world.
Deaths keep mounting, voices keep shouting
against the perpetrators to end this madness.
Of slaughter death and sadness.

Bush and Blair can you not see that you
Are not defeating terrorism.
You are encouraging the very thing
you are trying to defeat.
Stop listening to the spin doctors,
Listen to the people in the street.
So long as you stay in Irak
You will have the terrorists on youâ??re back.

For gods sake listen to the consensus of
the majority of the people
woman for woman man for man,
act quickly Bush and Blair.
Before this Iraki war turns into
A Second Vietnam.
