Darkness

by Christine   Aug 6, 2006

There is no light in my darkest life.
No where to go for comfort.
There is no fire to keep me warm.
No shield to keep me from the rain.
There are no animals to guide me,
only ravens that peck at my flesh.
No one to answer me when I scream at the top of my lungs.
Only my echo is what I hear.
No candles to illume the blackness.
Darkness is all I see.
