A summer\'s night

by tiffany   Aug 6, 2006

7pm a summerâ??s night
It was raining and storming
A summerâ??s delight
The two of them were riding in their new car
They Stopped at a the local 2-2-3 bar
Had a few drinks, shots and more
They were unable to walk a straight line
But still the drove away, as if they were fine
Lighting struck in front of the car
Shocking them they slammed on their brakes
The couple swerved into the other lane
Unfortunately the Simi truck couldnâ??t stop
Still he quickly called the cops
He told them an accident was about to take place
Soon after the phone call, he sadly faced his biggest fear
The speed of the truck and the rain on the road
Lead to an unhappy ending
The truck slammed right into the car, right into the lady
She died at an instant
The car bent very badly
The windshield shattered into millions of pieces
The man, still alive, felt sorrow and pain
He realized it wasnâ??t a game
He just lost the love of his life
Thanks to drinking and driving
He went away in a helicopter
But sadly, he joined his wife
Because he didnâ??t make it under the knife
Their children were crushed as soon as the read the paper
Front page, headline, â??another couple killed while drinking and drivingâ??
All this happened on a rainy, stormy, summerâ??s night
