Final Thoughts and Last Goodbyes

by martika   Aug 7, 2006

When I look in the mirror all I see
Is a lonely girl staring back at me
She has not a heart, nor a soul
But in replacement is a lump of coal

She is a pretty face with no name
No one can see, she is going through pain
She thinks of her life, she can try and turn back
But the confidence she needs is what she lacks.

The heartache she suffers deep inside
Was all caused by a web of lies
From her father, her mother and her best friend
They all stop her from trusting again.

Trying to live, but dreading the thought
the temptation of dying she has fought
She's finally giving up, she's finally giving in
as the blade goes in she starts to cringe

She falls to the floor without a breath
staring her in the eye is cruel death
goodbye to the world which crushed her dreams
and tore her apart ripped at the seams.
