The sad truth

by gummy_bear_exocutionist   Aug 7, 2006

I had to fill out a form in youth group one day, these were the questions

What do you want to do before you die

and i thought and thought and i finnaly made a poem
...............................................

All I ever wanted
Was to be remembered just for me
If that would be my mark in life
For all eternity
I understand so well
That I am just a teen
My life has hardly started
My slate is still so clean
If by any reason
I died the next days
Would anyone forget me
What would they have to say
How long would people weep my name
When would they forget
All the things I never did
Promises unkept
I would never graduate
Never get engaged
What about my wedding day?
Missing children age
So before I die
What I would give
To have a great life
And to truly live

    Gummy Bear --
This was the best poem I`ve read from you. The only adivce I have is to seperate your stanzas (it makes it WAY easier for the reader to comprehend) and just touch up the flow a bit. Some of your lines ran too long. But its not too bad ;; I would definitely seperate your stanzas. Great job, 5/5. I`ll do a couple more of your poems. =D
