Still in my pajamas

by Lenny   Aug 7, 2006

Still in my pajamas,
The world is a rush,
Hold warm cup,
To my chest,
The warmth is,
The simple pleasures,
The smile,
The couch dreams,
The movies, the music,
Then step out to the rain,
Catch its euphoria,
Watch its one step,
Two step performance,
Then clap with a smile,
And breathe in its scent,
Then its back inside,
With a blanket,
Windowsill to watch again,
And the raindrops,
Smile and look right back,
Suicide on my window,
To impress me,
With tissue I am grateful,
And with a one blow salute,
The cold isnt so bad,
And I retire to cocoon,
In a happy state,
The warmth is,
The simple pleasures,
The smile,
The couch dreams,
And the show by the rain,
All to aid an ailed stranger,

Smiling she sleeps.

Love the flow of this. Couch dreams is very nice. I envisioned it all very clearly. You do very well with the repetition. At the beginning you use first person then at the end switch to third. I can see how it works, referring to the ailed stranger (from the rain/couch dreams Point of view) but just something maybe to think about. I liked it
