Dreams

I logged on as usual, all things normal,
3 new messages.
Little did I know,
Yours would change my life.

The friendliness flowed from your words,
I wasted no time,
And I didn't think twice
About pressing reply.

We chatted for hours,
Like we were old friends,
Chatted about anything,
Neither of us wanted it to end.

Hours flew by,
And so did the days,
But all of a sudden,
It was all swept away.

Silly mistakes made by me and you,
Ruined every feeling,
I believed to be true.

I still hold hope
Deep in my heart,
But I can't fix things so easy,
When we're so far apart.

Dreaming of a life,
I know cannot be
But dreams are all I have,
Those dreams of you and me.

    Omg!your poem describes exactly what's happened to me and this guy i met on the internet.well i kinda prefer to not talk about it.anyways,excellent poem..written very nicely. keep up the good work.

    Yeah...i know how this goes!! I had a relationship with this guy who went to my school and we would talk online for HOURS...and he told me he liked me...or in his words..."loved" me...but he didn't break up with his girlfriend. He broke my heart...but i was able to move on. This is a REALLY good poem!! 5/5 I like it even more cuz i can relate! excellent!! :)
