Winter in a glass heart

by painfultears   Aug 8, 2006

A glass heart perched precariously upon the heart of another.
Easily shattered.
A love tattered and desperate
Trying to hold on to something that means everything
The pain like ice in your chest
A love unknown to the rest
Hidden and willing to give up
Willing to give away all, everything
Anything just to have the love of the one who you desperately need
Something that is everything
Physically sick
Nightmares of loneliness
A tear that burns more than the rest.
An eternity of loneliness for just one persons happiness
Then its gone
The pain is unreal
Everything is gone
Everything is now real
Instead of a dream
Its all real a life of loneliness
Time to say goodbye to your sweet prince
And my glass heart holds its winter
The pain shall pass.
But the winter in my glass heart will forever last
