In Loving Memory

Staring out the window, watching as the world goes by
Picturing us here together, thru tears that fill our eyes
All the memories we've shared with you, why must we live and die?
Seeing your faces thru our reflections, why is it so hard to say goodbye?
Wondering if we're dreaming, will you rescue us from all this pain inside?
Knowing that Heaven's so much better, but still wishing you were here
Nothing remains the same, we'll always long to hold you near
Why...were they taken from me?
What a mistake...it must be...
God, why did you have to come and set them free?
Why...do we feel so lonely?
Can't picture being here without them for eternity
As the nights fall and we look up to the stars in our new sky
We pray to God you're the ones that shine the brightest, because they're not hard to find
We know you're watching over us...We're blessed to even have you in our lives
Even though we stand here now, without you by our side
Never thought we'd lose you, but I guess it's just the way it's meant to go
Never thought we'd be searching endlessly, for you, inside our souls
Looking for answers to questions that we have as we begin to lose control
We need you in our life, because now our souls just seem so cold
Why...were they taken from me?
What a mistake...it must be
God, why did you have to come and set them free?
Why...do we feel so lonely?
Can't picture being here without them for eternity
Why...were you taken from me?
What a mistake it must be
God, why did you have to come and set them free?
