Sprinting From Danger

by Briana   Aug 9, 2006

Fire follows you
Through the meadow
Killing all in sight
As you attempt to flee

Praying for rain
Or help as you scatter around
As the fire burns brighter
And the smell clogs your nose

Fear fills your soul
You look all around
Ever watchful for danger
As the flames only grow

You're sprinting now
But you're losing breath
You contemplate of
How long this can last

How far can you go,
until you lose control?
How much can you give
until it all gives out?
