When I leave this world.

by Jacob M Parnell   Aug 9, 2006

When I leave this world.
And give out my final breath.
I want my existence to be unfurled.
I want to be remembered after my death.

I want to touch everyones heart.
Dive deep into peoples soul.
Rip emotions apart.
And make others whole.

I want people to remember my existence.
Remember me for what I truly am.
All of this I will accomplish with persistence.
So im not just remembered as a man.

Im not asking to be the next shakespeare.
Or the next Edgar Allen Poe.
I just want to be remembered.
I want to be a name you know.

I want my writing to mean something.
Way after im gone.
Not to be studdied.
Just never to be forgone.

I want for people to feel the depression.
For everyone to feel the love.
I only want to make an impression.
Way after im below or above.

I\'ve got many years to work.
On this so called \"obssesion\" I hold.
But I\'ll sit here with a smirk.
And I\'ll write, and I\'ll grow old.
