Eeyore.

Eeyore said to Pooh Bear,
"Why am I always sad?"
Pooh Bear replied with a know-it-all grin,
"Because only I'm aloud to be glad."

A single tear rolled down Eeyore's cheek,
"That's not fair".
Then Pooh Bear said,
"Yes it is, cause I'm the cuddly Pooh Bear."

At that reply, Eeyore walked away,
"Why is it so hard for me to smile?
I don't like being glum.
I would love to be happy, if only for a while."

Those big, round Eeyore eyes became very wet,
And his cheeks had become damp from his tears.
"Why must I cry?
Why must I have so many fears?"

All of a sudden Piglet was in front of Eeyore,
"What's wrong Eeyore?"
Piglet met Eeyore's eyes,
And with a tiny hand, wiped away a tear.

"Why can't I be happy Piglet?
Why must I always be so down?
I've tried to smile Piglet, I really have.
I even tried when Tigger was being a clown."

"I'm not really sure Eeyore.
But I'll tell you what you can do.
You can get better,
Then there'll be a smile on you."

"Eeyore, I'll tell you something else.
When you get that occasional smile,
It makes me happy to see you like that,
And it give me the strength to go that extra mile."

Now Eeyore's crying from happiness,
And a big tear rolls down Piglets cheek too.
"Oh Piglet, that was so sweet,
And just so you know, I love you."

At that Piglet throws his little arms around Eeyore's neck,
And holds on quiet tight.
"I Know that Eeyore."
Then his happy tears roll down, out of sight.

This goes to show,
That true friends are always there.
Cherish the people who love you,
And remember they'll always care.
