1000 Brides and Grooms

by christian   Aug 10, 2006

1000 brides and grooms
All in costume
Destined for doom

500 brides
Ready to dine by the tide
Who believe their grooms have never lied

500 grooms
All minds set on the womb
Filled completely with fume

500 couples
All unprepared for trouble
For now seeing doubles

1 long isle
That creates all the smile
Yet leads to the toxic vile

Hundreds of watching eyes
Like millions of pesky flies
All longing to say their goodbyes

500 honeymoons
Located in dirty hotel rooms
Beds covered in excretions of the groom

1000 bleeding hearts to come
Hearts that have lost the beat of the drum
All from what "love" has become

-this is a poem i wrote before that i have now rewritten and have placed it in a new catogory
