If Only Someone Loved Her

by Bria   Aug 10, 2006

Overcome by darkness,
corrupted at an early age.
What once was an innocent child,
is now a troubled soul trapped in the smallest cage.

Nobody understands that her every day is a struggle for survival.
Everyone is superior,
everyone is a rival.

She has sex to ease her pain,
she smokes pot to fry her brain.

All she ever hears is lies,
and she can't get out.
No matter how hard she tries.

Deep down, she knows all the great things she's capable of.
She has a brilliant mind,
and deep down,
lots of love.

But she so quickly is brought down by the sound of the voice in her head that says,

"You're not good enough,
In the booze, may you drown.
Your parents are dead and there's no one around.
Who cares about you,
or anything you do?
It doesn't matter if it's good
or if it's bad.
Nobody cares if your happy,
or if your sad.
No one minds making you mad.
You neither threaten, nor phase anyone near your path.

You wouldn't be missed if you were dead.
Nobody's ever heard a word you've ever said.

At any attempt you make to rise,
you will fail,
you will fall.
You are nothing,
you're nothing.
You're nothing at all."
