Deep Within His Eyes

by Shai   Aug 10, 2006

Deep within his eyes
Is burning words of hate
The reminder that I am
The one who caused his pain

I see the flames that were once
His pride
I see all that use to be
What he was

Dark orbs filled with distrust
Is what welcomes me
I have no one to blame for this
But myself

Asking for forgiveness
Would be letting the beast out of his cage
He wouldn't give me it
He would make me beg for it

As I look deep within his
Dark and hateful eyes
I see he is looking at
The woman beside me.
