2nd chance

by broken reflection   Aug 10, 2006

My spirit soars,
As my body hits the floor,
I am now free from the cage I was in,
My life will only now begin,

I will walk through gardens,
That travel for miles,
I will sit and watch a thousand sunsets for a while,
My enthusiasm, please do pardon!

You see my life was a sham,
A living for nothing, believe in no one,
Sham,
Until my life was blown away, by a nine mm caliber (gun)

Now I have escaped my old ways,
Forgotten my old habits,
Love, passion, knowledge, I wish to inhabit!
Looking forward to my coming days...

So death wasn't bad to me,
I did not cry over my life,
As god has given me a better one,
I shall live in rife,
Now I shall clearly see,
Now my life has really begun.

Be sure that this is not a suicide poem, it's a poem about life after death the way its supposed to come... no matter how horrific the death (murder, choking, hit and run) god will give u a second chance at life in a better world.
