My Dream Angel

My heart races a thousand miles,
The clock chimes its sweet sound,
The sound that makes me smile,
For my destiny will shortly be found...

I was told to meet a man of deep knowledge,
At the towers edge,
It is awfully high from there,
As I can smell the lofting fumes of cars below, in the air.

The door behind me begins to open,
And out comes a person hidden by shadow,
My heart is racing once again,
His eyes are green and in the darkness of the night they glow

He walks behind me and says to not fear,
Then wraps his arms around my waist,
His warmth I embraced,
And we stood on that towers corner, taken every breath from the atmosphere.

For a second I thought we would only stand,
But this thought was quickly removed from my mind,
He, pushed us off that tower ledge and we flew overland,
What was happening I was not quite sure, but it was a gift given to me most kind!

We flew over sea, land, cities,
Until we perched on a cliff that sat alone in the middle of the ocean,
His depth of feel almost felt as if it were devotion,
But I knew this man was not meant for me, but for the world,
Can you see?

He then kissed me on the cheek,
Leaving a hot flush run through my head,
It went all silent for a moment as if the world were dead,
He said "faith is the best motive," then he left me on that cliff peak.

I woke from my sweet dream,
Only hoping that waking was a dream and it was all real,
But it was in a way, as it has changed my life, heightened my esteem,
And now the reason why I was here, there and now, was then revealed.

My heart goes to that sweet man in my dreams,
Unreal, he may seem,
But he was real enough to turn my life around...
I will no longer live my life hidden, underground.

This is a poem about a girl who is just starting to experience adolescence, and she has the help of an angel to know her destined position in life, and those who are in it. my wish is that you have your dreams about your angels.
