In a world with deception and lies
You look to your friends to stay by your side
But even then they are not always there
You feel alone unconnected and scared
What in this world do we have to do,
To have someone Say they love you?
What in this life do you need to learn,
To move on to heaven instead of burning below?
Simple mistakes rip people apart
Little lies breaks love ones hearts
Muttered cries because of goodbyes
Simple words bring people to die
What in this world do we have to do
To show people that your really you
What in this life do we need to learn
To have others accept you for who you are
A mother doesn't get to see her child
simply because shes mentally challenged
So instead she drinks to forget the past
But the voices in her head make the memories last
A father runs out on his family
because to him drugs are more fun
then making others happy
So he lives on the street all alone
This life we are living is going all to wrong
Instead of giving out kisses were giving out guns
Instead of helping a stranger we're scared we'll get mugged
Instead of taking care of a child we send them off to get bought
What in the world do we have to do
To prove to god we're not coming through
What in this life do we need to learn
To stop the wars from going on
If people just stopped for a quick look
They'd see the world breaking apart
People are dieing by a family's hand
A child plays with a gun and then Bang he's dead
Its so sad how people act
They never realize they should be happy for what they get
Instead they just keep wanting more
And never give things away that they don't need
The people I respect see things for what they are
They never raised a hand out of anger to anyone
They're never to busy to throw away trash
Instead of leaving it on the street because its easier that way
What in the world do we have to do
To be more like these people and help a few
What in this life do we need to learn
To be a little more respectful to mother earth??
