Standards I Don't Fit

by Briana   Aug 12, 2006

I've been whitened out by society
Covered up by superficiality
Condemed for being unique

I've been crossed out by society
Exiled as if I mean nothing
As undermined as I can be

I've been asked to join society
Only condition is to modify me
I reject their offer willingly

Because with every change comes another
That will immediately be undercovered
As these lies unfold, leaving you smothered

And nobody ends up satisfied

Great Work! The emotions are clearly shown through your words, and I'm glad you don't repeat words over and over. Very nicely done.
