Daffidol Day

by Rebekah   Aug 12, 2006

The yellow petals
Falling so softly
Yellow tears will be cried
And dried on many a cheek
Green stems stand tall
Lifting the troubles
The petals hold
The dried leaves
Dead and falling
Caught in mid-air
Like the wairys of the patients
At the crisp white hospital
With fake smiles
And worried voices
Daffodil day
Cancer patients pray
Maybe they'll find a cure.
