Lingering within

by Tim   Aug 12, 2006

Lurking in the darkest shadows, of desolate plains he lie
Incomprehensible evil within each eye it does imply
His malignant screeches consume benevolent society
His escapades bring infamous grievous notoriety.

He is far from being a devil nor is he a living being
Just like divinity in skies above he is all foreseeing
His name be just as yours, his face is of your resemblance
To your own he is no stranger no need for a second glance.

He be all that lies within for he be your inner conscience
From its benevolence to darkest malevolence
He inside can be our friend or it can be our deplorable foe
Pure of heart, gracious of deeds, righteousness it shall bestow.
