Ignorant Lane

As the new working day dawns upon a privileged town
things begin to change
unlike the ghettos situated on the other side of town
perfectly positioned roses gleam and bare their natural warning signs
for the new days battle has just began
for father mother and their working son
as each heads out for work
in the new BM, Ferrari or merc
they wave to each other, a public smile
and everyone looks on thinking “how perfect”
yet not knowing all the while
the house is no longer a home
plastic exisexistence taken over
theirs a place where warmth and love no longer roam
they look above and the skysSky'sifferent blue
fluro yellow becomes the sun
as greed fills their eyes
onlookers unweunwaryut the consequences of a billbillionairee
all head out to achieve the same
and within their circle high pride eventually turns to unnoticed shame
their friends disposition all but fades to green
as the monster within them grows
once again the battle begins
the biggest house, the shinshiniest, the most loving family where no body laughs
