Unable To Remember

by LESLIE   Aug 15, 2006

* I find myself once again drowning in a sea of self-doubt, listening to the whispers of those who taunt me, and craving to find the dark part of this room, where I may hide, away from the sound of crying ... I will run past the trees, as fast as my legs may carry me, push my way past the branches, faster than the light, feeling the leaves crunch underneath my bare feet, and listening to the forest as I run from the dark ... and once I run through the forest, I will dive into the icy chill, as my skin feels the silk water, I will swim through the foam, towards the earth's crust and stare down through the water at the sea bed ... and when I am done, I will pull myself from the water, I will sit on the beach, while my hair drips from the wet, and I will watch the sun, as it goes in deep into the horizon, unable to remember what I ran from *
