Velvet

by Kate   Aug 15, 2006

The worlds flowers like a carpet of crimson
As ones scatters and tosses through the air
Sorrow and sadness, born there
From the darkness that streams underneath
Hearts mean to lie
Puppets of fate meant to die

Only to embrace those we love
Pretend to protect those small and precious
Today again some lies shout out
About sacrificing life to smolder in the midst of safety
With an instants kiss

In this world stained with greed
There is only wind blowing toward the sky
All that's left is trampled love
the tears in the palm of hands
Were smiles only meant to sunder?
Everyone has their wounded hearts

The stars disappear the, the clouds are seen
The birds still and the wind sings
The heaven freezes and the ocean blows
This horrible night in hell ends with you.

Relish the pain of the velvety flames of nightmares.
