Fade Away

by Hey Brittknee   Aug 15, 2006

I held your hands, as you said your final words
And I held you close, as you took your final breath
And as I sit here sobbing, no longer can I look,
As the doctor writes down the time of your death

The doctor tells me that he's sorry
But how the hell would he know
Why did god have to take him from me
Why was it his time to go

He was so young, so full of life
So joyful without a care
But now he's gone, god you took him from me
When he still had so many things to share

Why couldn't you have take the old lady
The one driving the other car
Why did you have to take the young
I'm sure she lived her life, he didn't, not by far

What did I ever do so wrong
For you to take away the one I held so dear
All you did now was bring to life,
All of my deepest darkest fears

How can people say that it was his time to go
I say how the hell do those people know
Why did god have to take the young one
When he could have taken the old, do you know?

Why did this have to happen
Just tell me, why he had to die
Was there really any reason at all
Or are you just gonna tell me another lie

You all tell me, that it will be okay
That it will get better day by day
But really all I can do without him
Is watch my life fade away

~uhh this is a poem fact and a bit of story, i know someone who lost their brother to car crash and they feel its their fault...which it is not, and i almost lost the person i call my HERO in a car crash, and then there have been so many stories on tv about car crashes so i thought id write this poem~
