Maybe he'll love me tomorrow

"Well, maybe he'll love me tomorrow."
a girl who's done nothing but care
and a boy who's so careless it hurts her
he never noticed the beatuful girl right over his shoulder

But it seems like it was only yesterday
only yesterday he held her hand when they walked into kindergarten
only yesterday they played hide and seek in her back yard
only yesterday they were best friends

She tends to wear her heart on her sleeve
silly girl, she doesn't wear her heart anymore
the shining eyes have lost their sparkle
but she's determined to forget what he long since lost

She's so ready to let go, just move on and be happy
but while she's crying herself to sleep
I guess there's always this hopeful shred of
"Well, maybe he'll love me tomorrow."
