Tell a lie

by Alex   Aug 16, 2006

Tell a lie
Tell a lie
Hide away your sins.
Close your eyes, take a breath
A tragedy begins

A beating heart
A pulsing vein
A razor poised and aching
Soft white skin now tainted, open;
A disaster in the making

Smeared with blood
A longing wish
Adorned with hopes and dreams
Behind the tears and tattered wings
Her soul and conscience screams

Tell a lie
Tell a lie
Wash away the pain
One last breath, a wistful yearning
Struggling in vain

Fade away
Close your eyes
Crouched on weary knees
Your forlorn life is now forgotten
Plucked from you with ease

Tell a lie
Tell a lie
A love so pure and raw.
Stained with tears, her final words
Were written on the floor:

'A fatal flaw
A shattered heart
This infirmity is real
I couldn't stop the hurt inside
So I chose not to feel.'

This is a good poem and it makes me think we can never really show our pain on the out side we can never let anyone know because we have to make people think everything is fine when its really not it makes me think that if we could really show all our hurt on the outside instead of keeping it in maybe thing like that wouldn't happen maybe if we were able to show our pain that it wouldn't be quit so unbareable anyways thats a good poem
