Abuse

Childhood cries linger in my mind, of the way that I was once treated
Hitting and screaming was a daily thing, but the mental pain was another thing
I used to think i was bad and that I wasn't worth anything
But now I know that I was worth more than all of those fights
To this day I hear those cries and threats
But the one thing I learned from the physical pain, is that you were never worth my love
You think your tough to cuz you hit your kids, but tough is taking the beatings from age six to fifteen.
You can't hurt me anymore because now I know the truth.
Your wrong and I'm right, so hit me again and I'll be gone forever.
