Mistaken

I thought our love would be forever,
you and me always together.

But then you left me tears in my eyes,
my mind full of all your lies.

Why was I too blind to see,
that you never really loved me?

Everything you said was fake,
me loving you was my biggest mistake.

Wrote this in 8th grade, for my first boyfriend, F.M.
