Lies.

by Saeki Toru   Aug 17, 2006

I've stated before
How wrong everything is,
But I never knew more
Until bad news I did kiss.
Now, when your whole life
Is turning upside down
Causing you strife,
Spinning you around;
You thought you were caught
In a web of lies,
But as the threads of time
Unravel sick crimes,
You realize then and there
Just how little people care.
It's not that I can blame
For lack of understanding.
But now the tears fall like rain.
I mean, is it so hard to lend a hand
Before our dying days?
Because they're not even trying
To live their lives in our shoes,
In our way.
I ask you why they don't bother,
Why they feed us these lies,
Yes, he was my brother!
And it is with him my heart dies.
Now years later, I am told
That no one remembers their lives?
What sort of truth are they to hold
When all they give is lies upon lies?
I realize I repeat the word so,
Because this is all about that;
It is all I've learned to know.
Their lives, they mean what?
Another opportunity?
Another publicity stunt?
In this community,
In this game you run,
I promise you all,
That it won't be us down there,
Oh, no.
It is you, and I mean you all
Who will surely,
Surely take the fall.
