Slanted light

by krissi   Aug 17, 2006

Laying in the slanted light
I sing my angel to sleep at night

On his pillow where he lays his head
his mind grows heavier with sleepy lead

He breathes in and then he sighs
he smiles at me and closes his eyes

I kiss his cheek and walk away
Pull the door and the slanted light fades
