The Truth About me

by BeeBeeGun   Aug 19, 2006

You think you see a honest girl with nothing but smiles
But deep down inside her hurt lives for miles
You dont think that theres anything missing in this young beating heart
But something has been since the start
she lived a normal childhood growing on a farm
she always gave her best held out your arm
she had her falls those grazes on her knee
but theres something missing something she needs to be
she longs for the love of family
she longs for the freedom of choice
she longs to run free in the wilderness

As the world starts to crumble
as her paper does wear thin
Hearts been broken thousand times
its her turn to win
dignified in glory she withstounds the name
those who hold her head up high
should really bow in shame

The childhood memories being kept away from life
longing for the comfort longing to fit in
she was to become the stand out child
who took her life for granted to stand out in the crowd
she stood up and shone like you wanted her to all along
she was that stand out daughter you wished for
she got graded A's lived up to ur choices
told she would succeed by those million voices

As the world starts to crumble
as her paper does wear thin
Hearts been broken thousand times
its her turn to win
dignified in glory she withstounds the name
those who hold her head up high
should really bow in shame

but now she does stand all battered and alone
who really thought this child could be yours
born and raised by a family who only wanted the best
like fighting as a pirate to win that treasure chest
but she now stands her ground fights for who she is
she's proud to long for choices to fight like a woman
that young girl has gone and that woman has yet to grow
into a world of choice where she can live her own
she sits in her little shell heres the wonderfied crowd
takes her shattered heart and walks those thousand miles
just to become the woman of today
the one you didnt want all along
but dad your young girl has grown strong

As the world starts to crumble
as her paper does wear thin
Hearts been broken thousand times
its her turn to win
dignified in glory she withstounds the name
those who hold her head up high
should really bow in shame

chose to be an artist and song lyrics was a hobbie
really only she could raise to show her glorified voice
yet her family does not know her hidden talent she hides
they only care for grades not about her feelings inside
do they care to talk? do they care to walk a mile in her shoes?
do they care to listen to her playing wit the rythm of the blues
beaten at the heart with a courage purer then gold
swollen from the start her dream to be that girl
the family is no longer a potrait in her hall of art
they no longer are a creation from her heart

As the world starts to crumble
as her paper does wear thin
Hearts been broken thousand times
its her turn to win
dignified in glory she withstounds the name
those who hold her head up high
should really bow in shame

so as you hear this song you'll hear the young girls cry
what she used to long for to have freedom of choice
now only to be older shes an actress in disguise
the hidden pain and bruises from her hatred family life
the wounds of memories that need not to be held
fall back on the family, with the lies they tell
they did not create her she created herself
recreated a monstrous feeling...to be the woman she is today
shes of consenting age to know how to live her own
how to raise herself without the shallow feeling of home

So As the world starts to crumble
as her paper does wear thin
Hearts been broken thousand times
its her turn to win
dignified in glory she withstounds the name
those who hold her head up high
should really bow in shame

Bow in shame
