Satisfaction

I couldn't let you walk away
Without one more kiss
I didn't know what I was going to say
I just let it slip
I told you so many lies
Saying I didn't love you
I tore you apart and I think you knew
I only wanted you to love me too
I almost turned around
And apologized
But a sudden thought crossed my mind
Why should I give you that satisfaction?
If your heart was torn apart
Then maybe you'd get a taste
Of your own medicine.
You played me
And tore my heart apart
I longed to be so perfect
I wanted you to feel the pain
That I lived on for so many years
I meant to hurt you so you could see
How much love means to me
I hope I made you cry inside
I hope you fell apart
Maybe if I walk away
I could hold the tears for one more day
