The Ideal Season

by Shane   Aug 19, 2006

In Autumn
the leaves fell
the cool wind
caressed me well
In winter
the heat had mercy
and though I paused
my heart was thirsty
In summer
the day was long
the sun was fierce
but I was strong

But during spring
with love at its peak
I saw your face
and I was weak
Could no longer hide
or bury this
that all I want
is to taste your kiss
And if you notice
my hidden aim
will your feelings
remain the same?
All I can offer
are rhyming schemes
lasting love
and ideal dreams
But even then
I crave your face
your smile, your lips
and your embrace
I seek approval
from your eyes
like flowers long
for butterflies
And if its destined
up above
i'll be the boy
your meant to love
