When you dream, dear baby

by *unpredictable*   Aug 21, 2006

Go to bed, now, my sweet little baby,
using the song of the night,
close your eyes now, little baby,
go to sleep,
and drift off into your own little world,
where all your dreams come true,
where goblins,
and monsters,
two headed frogs with wings,
and pink-and-purple-polka-dotted-one-inch-tall-cyclops exist,
you can do what you want with no problem,
when you dream, dear baby,
there's no limit,
to what you can do,
there will be no one to tell you what to do,
or to stop what you're doing,
when you dream, dear baby,
everything is real,
everything comes to life,
so go ahead and dream, dear baby,
and i'll be right here when you wake.

Wow, this is an amazing poem. It's because I love poems that have things about dreams! Lol :) Good job! I like all the words you used :) -Shauni

I loved this... it reminded me of Shel Silversteins work. It was remarkable the way you tied in fantasy with the reality that you'll still be there when dreams are broken. Great write!
