When I Fell

by enzo8   Aug 21, 2006

Trudging along
in a field of misery,
A dark cloud overshadows
the path before me,
Blinded by the lightnings
flashing in front of my eyes,
Deafened by the sound
of my agonized screams,
As a searing pain
overwhelms me,
From behind,
Death crawls up to me,
Lying motionless
on the ground,
Wishing that I may never
be found,
Drowning in the pool
of my own blood,
With the darkness taking over me,
and finally closing my eyes,
leaving my sorrows behind.
