Eluding Friendship

He would never admit it to her. Their friendship was gone. She was holding on to something that doesn't exist and she knew it. She understood that she should let go, but her heart wouldn't let her. She longed to talk to him, to be with him. She knew that he didn't love her back, and she accepted that. But she thought that if she tried hard enough, they could be friends at least. Anything to be close to him. She would do anything to be close to him. So she tried so hard. Her heart bleeding with every grasp for the ever elluding strand of his friendship. Her hope fading out as he pulls back. Their friendship was gone. And he would never tell her
