Carnival nights.

Little children laughing,
as vibrant lights dance about,
the smell of food is in the air,
my friends are smiling,
and for once in such a long time,
my life seems just fine,
until the moment i saw his face,
i stopped dead in my tracks,
i swear to God my heart wasn't beating,
the whole world seemed to be paused,
after almost a year,
this is our grand reunion,
is this all that God could manage,
a small county fair,
and a simple wave at me,
but yet it seems so perfect,
so wonderful,so divine,
hes just so beautiful to me,
when i saw him there,
i expected him to react,
to come and hug me,
to longingly kiss me,
with so much passion and desire,
but to my surprise,
he couldn't even manage a hello,
just kept on walking,
as if nothing had happened at all,
how can he do this to me,
he couldn't even manage a hello.
