I sometimes wonder

I have all the friends a person can wish for
But they are all so far away
It sometimes feels like I have none

I have a person I love that loves me in return
But I get to see her so seldom
It sometimes feels like I am still alone

I am still chasing the same dream as always
But the road is getting so long
I sometimes wonder if I will ever be done

I have a place to sleep with a roof over my head
But it can get so lonely in here
I doubt it can ever be called a home

I know where it is I stand in my life
And I know where all those around me stand
Yet it all feels so distant right now
I sometimes wonder if I am in the wrong place

***not going through the best of times at the moment. Feeling stuck in the same place for a while now.**

    Timo, I wish you a lot of strength. I don't want to say I know how you feel 'cause I'm not going through the same as you, but next year I will feel the lonelyness like you are feeling as part of the sacrifice you're doing for the sake of your future. I have no idea what to say because it is very difficult to be far from your family and friends. But we have to be strong and we should go on. Be optimistic for this strive will finish positively for you and the ones you love.
