I smile to hide the tears,
But only for the day.
I laugh to subside the pain,
But only until no one\'s paying attention.
I let out happiness to cover the sadness,
But only until nobody\'s around.
I sit to keep from falling,
But only so I don\'t fall too hard.
It takes only one fake smile
To hide a million falling tears.
It takes a few laughs
To subside what seems like a lifetimes worth of pain.
It takes a little bit of happiness
To cover a never ending line of pure sadness.
It takes a couple minutes of sitting
To keep from constantly falling hard.
But all of this hiding, subsiding, letting out, and sitting only lasts for the day. Then at night, it all lets loose.
