Gained and Lost

Looking back...
through the window
i see the ground slip away
Leaving behind everything
i have gained and lost.

Seeing the beach i once walked on
with a past lover at my side...
a kiss, a memory, and you are gone.
Knowing what we once had, missing it
but i know, in our hearts...feelings fade away.
and we must move on (but i will always love you)

But I will learn to love again
soaring higher and higher
flying in air, dancing on stars
