About A Girl

by [a.i.n.s.l.e.y]   Aug 24, 2006

Every day that passes by
There\'s a girl with a broken smile.
Beautiful hair, gorgeous eyes
But I can see she\'s crying inside.
She loves her friends, and gets good grades
She\'s heaps of fun, she\'s kind and cares.
I watch her there, as she laughs and plays
She canâ??t let other see her heart break.
And then, as she turns away,
I see the bright smile fade to grey.
Her chin trembles and she closes her eyes,
And now I see the scars on her wrist,
I witness all her silent tears.
But then her smile is back again,
She dries her eyes and returns to her friends.
She fools the world, but I know better;
Her memories are killing her.
Iâ??m always there, Iâ??ll always care,
A shoulder for her to rest her head.
She hides her pain with a cheeky smile,
Keeps it all locked tight inside.
Every day that passes by,
Thereâ??s a girl with a broken smile.
