The Shame From Within

by Levi   Aug 25, 2006

His eyes scan the deserted area for any signs of life,
Knowing so long the painful days of strife.
His eye's water from the pain inside his heart,
And his soul screams out for the family he had to part.
His life is a mystery, yet a legend in the same,
The lives he has taken for his, slowly became his shame.

His soaked hair covers his wounded face,
So longingly has his sword been a haunting form of grace.
Unfulfilled, his eyes they're the window to his soul,
Many grueling years of battle have truly taken a toll.
His thirst and hunger both shall never die,
Found no life in the land, his tears they wish to cry.

The face of death is one he has too often seen,
from the angel's and the demon's everlasting screams.
The Light and Dark are the sides, in which he goes,
His actions are for the better good and the demise of his foes.
